What is the ‘Blue Whale Game’?
It’s horrifying, it’s dangerous, it’s depressing- to hear that the innocent teenagers- boys & girls are literally committing suicide while playing some really bull sheet video game!
In Mumbai [Andheri East area], an only son of Mr. & Mrs. Sahani, jumped to his death from the sixth floor of their building. He shared his thoughts with his friends. He revealed that he is going to jump from the terrace, talked about the game challenges, and he said that “soon the only thing you would be left with is a picture of me” – but the disaster is that- he shared it with his friends and not the parents!
And after chatting for nearly 20 minutes with his friend, he met the 50th and last challenge of the ‘Suicide Game’ – which encourage the teenagers to meet the last challenge and become the winner forever…….
The Tragic Tale…..
How tragic is this, that this killer game engulfs the lives of the adventure-seeking innocent teenagers!! This game very first doesn’t enter all the applicants at once; it checks their smartness(?)& dares(?). Take promises from them, one of the promises is that they will not disclose a single word about this killer game to anyone in the family or friends or anybody. Then the admin also takes the promise that they will not leave the blue whale game in between, once they will start they will have to finish it!
He [admin/whale] also threaten the teenager player that now he is having all his details about the social media and all, and if the player leaves in the halfway, the admin will make his/her life hell. He can even kill his family members as he also has the player’s postal address! In this way, the young -undeveloped brains of the teenagers fall into the scary, dreadful and spine-chilling clasp of the psychopath game admin.
Yes, the 22-year-old creator of the blue whale game states that he is a bipolar patient!!! And the children are becoming the prey of a mentally sick person!
This killer game has knocked doors in India, it is being said that this case of the Bombay Boy is the first case in India, but how can we say it ? This might be the first proven case of the suicide of the blue whale game’s player. But I know a few teenagers who committed suicide by jumping from the terraces and their parents yet don’t understand the reason behind it! It might happen that the players had committed suicide but the reason didn’t come forth!
Philipp Budeikin -The Creator.
This dangerous killer game is claimed to invent by Philipp Budeikin- a former psychology student of Russia, who was expelled from his university. Blue Whale began in Russia in 2013 with a word- “F57”, one of the names of the so-called “death group” of the VKontakte social network and allegedly caused its first suicide in 2015.
The blue whale game has a list of tasks, to be completed in 50 days. That includes waking up at 4:20 A.M., climbing a crane, carving a specific phrase on the person’s own hand or arm, doing secret tasks, poking a needle in the arm or leg, standing on a bridge and roof, listening to music, and watching videos sent to the challengers by the administrator.
The killer game is based on the relationship between the challengers and the administrators. It involves a series of duties given by the administrators that players must complete, usually one per day, some of which involve self-mutilation. Some tasks can be given in advance, while others can be passed on by the administrators on that same day, the last task being suicide.
Budeikin stated that his purpose was to “clean” the society by pushing to suicide those he deemed as having no value. He says, “Those who committed suicides were the biological wastes of society. I am cleaning them.”
The Flood of the Suicides……
In March 2017, authorities in Russia were investigating approximately 130 separate cases of suicide related to the phenomenon. In February, 15-year-old Yulia Konstantinova and 16-year-old Veronika Volkova threw themselves off the top of a 14-story building in Irkutsk, Siberia after completing 50 tasks sent to them. Before they killed themselves together, Yulia and Veronika left messages on their pages on social networks. Yulia published the photo of a giant blue whale and then wrote “End.”
Veronika had previously posted things like “Do you feel that you become useless?” and “I am just a ghost.” On the day of her death, she wrote “Sense is lost… End”.Also in February, a girl known as Ekaterina, 15, was in critical condition after throwing herself out of an apartment and falling on the snow-covered ground in the town of Krasnoyarsk, also in Siberia.
On 11 May 2017, Russian media reported that Philipp Budeikin “plead guilty to inciting teenagers to suicide,” having described his victims as “biological waste” and claiming he was “cleansing society.” He was held at Kresty Prison in St Petersburg on charges of “inciting at least 16 teenage girls to kill themselves.”
On 26 May 2017, Russian Duma (parliament) passed a bill introducing criminal responsibility for creating pro-suicide groups on social media, in the wake of 130 teen deaths linked to the Blue Whale suicide challenge. On 7 June 2017, President Putin signed a law imposing criminal penalties for inducing minors to suicide. The law imposes a maximum punishment of six years in prison.
Though the criminal is behind bars, we can see the killer game is continuing nicely, hunting its prey! Now the citizens of India awaiting what the Indian Government does to cease the killer blue whale game?
If you are ‘Parents’……..
Parents are afraid, how would they save their kids from the deadly blue whale game? It’s quite easy if you really love your ward. Don’t make a distance from your kid even if both of you are working parents. Invest your time with them. Be their friends. Channels should be open for conversations. Take care of it that your ward should be comfortable with you to share anything and everything with you. He should not feel alone anyhow.
Keep an eye on his routine and on the smart gadgets that you have given him instead of your time, love and attention. You should essentially know what your kid is doing on his social media accounts and internet. If you want to save your kid from every danger, you should attend him. Do not ever let him mentally, emotionally and especially psychologically alone!!!
In the twenty-first century, we are so incapacitated that none of the governments of any country is unable to cease the stream of such killing internet games? Nearly 250 teenagers have committed suicide in countries like Russia, Brazil, Argentina, Seria, Spain, USA, Chile, China, Colombia, Portugal and now India! Is this the bonanza gift of the supreme technology of the twenty-first century to our children?
The death of Manpreet Sahani has left the country stunned and has aroused heaps of questions; a panic moral wave has struck India with his tragic death.
